Why do we work with Guides?
Denali. El Capitan. Annapurna. Aconcagua. Cerro Torre. Everest. The biggest, baddest peaks and walls that we daydream about. Mountain Hardwear partners with guide services around the world to enhance their expeditions and provide gear and equipment suitable for every summit attempt. We work with guides that are held in high esteem within the industry, who exhibit professionalism, and of course, those with proximity to the big peaks and untamed massifs that we pursue. In return, we receive priceless feedback, valuable product testing, and top-notch exposure in all areas of the alpine world. Without these partnerships, we wouldn't be who we are today. Guide Spotlight: Alpine Ascents International
Alpine Ascents International was just recently named one of "The Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth" by National Geographic Adventure Magazine and rated highest among the Mountain Guide services.
Having won this award doesn't surprise us. Alpine Ascents International is a leader in the climbing industry and instrumental in setting precedent in the mountaineering community. They are committed to developing safe, self-reliant and environmentally-conscious mountaineers while offering courses and expeditions of unsurpassed quality throughout the world. Alpine Ascents is also proud to be one of a small minority of companies authorized to guide on Denali, Mt. Rainier and throughout Washington's Cascades.
The guides are the primary reason that Alpine Ascents has built such a unique reputation. Many of them have been with AAI for most of their careers and have had the opportunity to participate in a wealth of climbs and programs. Their guides are generally not seasonal employees, who teach a few courses and head back to "other lives", but are dedicated and committed to a life of climbing.
Their commitment to the environment and ethical global business practices make Alpine Ascents one of the most respected and well-rounded mountain guiding company's in the industry.
